I recently posted an ad for a full time live in, but now some legal live out applied.
Besides salary, for live-in, and out, what I should offer to pay?
She will eat whatever she cooks for us on working days.
Boarding cost, food allowance on weekends????
There will be no visa support, and no paid home leave as
I do not hire them for 1 years. (aplicants know that too)
Also what is normal working hour for helpers?
I rather have them at late shift such as 11-10pm.
Some of them get benefit of doing PT job as well.
Am having interview today or tomorrow, so really need your advise.
Thank you.

In most jobs, live outs earn more since you are not "paying" living expenses. My guess is that several thousand more a month would be reasonable. What is she asking?
"Also what is normal working hour for helpers?"
A very broad question. Many live-ins work 0700-2000 with perhaps a break in the middle. Others work less. There is not really an accepted definition.
Oh, and it is a 6 day working week.

the only fully legal live out helpers are chinese, or the occasional Philapina who took Hong Kong citizenship, I think it was offered in 2004 I may be incorrect about the year, but only those who took citizenship are legal live outs, when I was interveiwing there were a few who insisted they were legal live outs, probably to get more money, but they were not, I would really double check what they say to save yourself getting in trouble with immingration.

Hello,
Thank you to everyone responded my thread.
One of them clearly stated she got HELPER visa which I never heard of.
Which let me make this thread.
Thought if there is something like that, everyone do not have to look for a sponsor....
I should check their passport for the visa, for sure.

Hi, Cara
That's what I learned from asia expat.
And helper visa holder should not be able to work for me FULL TIME.... as they get visa suported by someonelse.
This specific one said she got helper visa back in Feb, so no problem for working for me full time.

or someone is "coaching" her...

or very naive to believe every word her "coach" says but then again i doubt that very much as i sense that the helper has been working in hong kong for some time.
i would get a copy of her passport and have the immigration clarify.

you can check their HKID. Domestic Helpers HKID start with W123456 and the Dpendant Visa holder start with R123456
