My helper did not take his off on a statutory holiday, how much should i pay her? is it double pay or just her regular one day salary? thanks...

Just a regular one day salary on top of her monthly salary.
We used to do this when we asked her to work on her day off.

Pay whatever you are comfortable with. The amount is immaterial as it is against the law. If you concerned about this, just give her a day off in lieu within 60 days which is the legal solution.

You should give her another day off not cash as claire said, if you do want to give cash as well or instead of then i wouild give her double time asit is overtime after all.
