Hi everyone, we will not be renewing our helper's contract and have some questions...
1. Do we just give her a Release Letter and her ticket?
2. Do we date the ticket on the last day of her visa?
3. Should I inform the Immigration Dept.? I emailed Immigr. but no answer yet. I didn't call as I have difficulty being understood (my accent).

1. No, you don't give release letter to finish contract helper but you have an option to give her a reference letter that she could show to her prospective employers.
2. Is she going back home on the same day? If so, that should be okay. However, she may chose to look for another employment. This is something you could discuss with her.
3. I don't think that is needed, but you do need to state it in case you will hire someone else.- in your supporting letter - in case you intend to hire again.

Thanks, SouffleQueen! You're faster than Immigration (got an email from them that they're looking into it and will reply soon..?)! She does plan on looking for another employment so we'll talk to her about that.
