Advice on termination letter and release letter

Hi, unfortunately we have to terminate our helper and am a little confused as to what to put on letter regarding dates. I plan on telling her tonight. Do I put - 'Her employment contract will be terminated on 03 May 2013 and she will be released on 03 May 2013'? as we are giving her one months notice. Here's a sample letter of her termination notice

This is to inform you that NAME has worked for my family since 10 January 2013. Her employment contract will be terminated on 03 May 2013 and she will be released on 03 May 2013. The reason of termination is that she is not able to carry out the childcare duties required of her.


We have a 3-year-old girl, and a 3-week-old baby boy, we both work full time and we need a helper who can manage both child and baby care.


We wish NAME the best of luck in the future finding a suitable employer who can utilize her other skills.
