Hello! we've just hired a lovely Sri-Lankan helper who is really wanting to learn how to cook western food. She can cook a few things and she can cook Indian and Chinese well.
I know that I can give her easy recipes to follow and see how she gets on with those- I work full time and so wouldn't be much use- that, and the fact that I am pretty awful in the kitchen! but I was thinking of maybe getting a few cooking classes for her? does anyone know of any? A lot of the adverts I've seen are for Chinese or thai cooking....
Thanks!

Thanks! I have taken both bits of advice cookbooks and workshops!

Also, for cook books (and english cooking) you can't go wrong with Delia Smith - it's uttlerly fool proof and ranges from the basics to the advanced.
