Anyone knows the procedure if the helper breaks the contract - with one month notice to employer? thanks.

make sure that everything is written down and signed including her letter to quit.
if possible, have a non-family witness too

As far as I know - She can choose to waive the one month in lieu of pay. That is - if the helper is breaking the contract, and does not work the one months notice, she does not get paid.
If she wishes to work, but you do not want her there, you have to pay her the one months notice.
I would advise a quick trip to the Labour Dept - they have excellent pamphletts and can give you your rights and obligations.
