Help with interview questions

Hi everyone, I need to start looking for a full-time helper as my situation has evolved. A full-time helper is the first time for me.



I would appreciate your wisdom and input in what to ask during interviews and what are some of the things to look out for from your experience.

Interview questions.

. What is she good at.

. What are her weaknesses.

. What part of the job being a DH she needs to improve.

. Ask what would she do if she was the employer and the helper is not doing her job properly.


*top tip if you're hiring for the first time.

.Never get too friendly with your helper.

.Set fair ground rules from the very start and make clear of the consequences if ignored.

.Create a flexible weelky time table and spend time to talk with her about it. Bit like Teacher and Teaching Assistant and allow her to make suggestions.

.It's mean not to allow helper from using their mobile phones so I suggest that she use a hands free phone so that they can be chatting with friends or family while cleaning windows or ironing.

.ALWAYS and ONLY use hands free phone when out and about especially if you have children. Like when driving, never take your eyes off the road. I have seen a lot of near missis that made me scream and got out of my seat.

.Never talk about you or your family outside your home. (Just like school)

.Only allow your landline phone number to a few. Doctor, Police and Immigration. Not even her friends and family. Any other calls you get other than from the 3 above is from a Finance Banks and that is not a good news.

Now no one would want to be my helper if they see this, I make a mean employer but am I?
