Hi all,
Here's the situation, my DH has a sister that is staying illegally in HK, was a DH before but hung out with the wrong crowd. She got pregnant and has been borrowing money from my DH. My DH and her parents would like to get her back to Indonesia as they can't keep giving money to her. What can we do to facilitate this, get HK police involved? I imagine her sister would be charged with illegally staying in HK? What options do we have. This has been extremely stressful on our DH. Thanks in advance.

Agree with the above comments Better she surrender that to be caught...

I know of cases where the pregnant helper turned herself in with a plane ticket that day and they just escorted her to the airport. Another one came in with her 4 year old daughter -after being an OS for 4 years- they were kept at the 14 floor (?) of ID before being sent home two days later, after she managed to find money for their airfare.

I do not agreed with aboved comments.
My suggestions are; go to the consulate and ask a help from them. Normally the consulate will arrange the accommodations and will help them to go to Immigrations Investigations in Kowloon Bay for investigation and needed explanations why she was overstayed.
Then Immigrations will hold all the original documents passport and HKID, and will return the passport upon the investigate are done, and the overstaying helpers has the flight ticket back to their country.
NO JAIL, unless has criminal record.
Only In a time that the investigations done, and the helper which overstaying has no flight ticket and she need to wait in jail until she has the flight ticket back to their country.

The chances of the police actually catching her are the same as her turning herself in, i.e. NIL. I see the same hookers in Wanchai week-in week-out for years in their short skirts holding hands with different guys every time, but the police never do anything. Your DH's sister will continue to drain your DH's salary.

Use the service at http://www.gov.hk/en/residents/immigration/investigation/
to report her.
The longer she stays the more of an issue it will become for your DH. The more of an issue it becomes for her then the more it will affect your employer/employee relationship. It is obviously affecting it already otherwise you would not be posting this question here.
If you value your DH do her a favour and hand her sister in. If you don't worry about losing your DH then let it continue to run.
