Employment Agencies from Singapore

Hi! My friend, Mary an agent told me last night that someone from Singapore contacted her and told her that she could supply them Filipina maids from Singapore. She was busy then attending at a client and it had never occured to her that Filipina maids can be supplied from Singapore as we all know that maids have to be in the Philippines to process their papers and have an appearance at Labor and the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency before the would be allowed to work abroad. She said she was sorry but her agency was not familiar with that. Well, now that she had the time to think about it, she would love to hear from agents from Singapore again and maybe they could work something out.


Now for us employers, would that be good news? Aren't there quite a number of employers looking for helpers that have working experience from Singapore? Please let me know what you think.

Why would anyone pay an agency in singapore to find them a Philippino helper (and not have the opportunity to interview any candidates) when there are 1000s of helpers with employer references who are in Hong Kong already and available for work?
