helper's room. what do you do??

Help! I don't know what to do about my helper's room. It's very small and there's no air conditioning. I've bought a fan, but it's still not cooling the room enough. we're not allowed to install an air conditioner which hangs out the window. can you help??I'd be grateful for any ideas which you might have. we leave the door open so some a/c from the rest of the apartment get in, but it still gets too hot in the helper's room.

you can buy those Air Cooler, like a portable air conditioner....


There are two kinds.

One kind is using the Ice coolants (blue packs) freeze in the freezer, then place in the machine, gives you much cooler air than a fan. We used it for our helper's room before in our apartment because her room was in the kitchen, and we couldn't install an air con.


The other kinds are like portable air cons, you need to stick a hose outside the window while using, the water comes out from the hose for cooling the machine.


Either one works quite well.


But don't expect it to work exactly like an air con.

But if the room is really small, your helper should find it quite comfortable ,and much more useful than a fan.

Where could I buy those? THanks so much. I didn't know those existed!
