Doctor in Central

Does anybody know a good doctor for domestic helpers? Any recommendation? Please let me know

Are you implying a distinction between a "good doctor for domestic helpers" and a "good doctor"? If so, what is it?

For me, the distinction would be based on the insurance cover I have. So yes, I prefer my helper to go to a cheaper doctor than me as our insurance covers different amounts. I know perfectly well(as do most people) that higher priced doctors are not necessarily any better, but have nicer waiting rooms and newer magazines. As my work pays for my insurance I go to a more expensive doctor, as I work in an area that has higher rents. If my helper is sick, she gos to the local doctor (who I also use from time to time, and would do all the time if I had no insurance) who costs a third of the price. Lotti asked for advice, not the standard employer-bashing.

Sorry, I think if consultation cost is an issue you might need to look outside of Central - try Sheung Wan? Maybe ask a more specific question (for example my helper's insurance covers a $200 consulation, so I would want a recommendation around that amount). If money is not the issue, but something else like language, then again, ask a more specific question or you'll get more unhelpful responses.

my godness, I did not know that you have so much time in the eraly morning to analyize a simple question.

Anyway, since I never ever send my helper to any doctor, I do not have ANY experience which doctor the domestic helper will normally use!

My GP left Hongkong more than 6 month ago and so far I also do not have anybody for my family.


Of course it's a matter of insurance cover and therefor I prefer to get a recommendation regarding a "lower price" doctor than a doctor located in Prince's building!


It is really necessary to find an excuse why I will use another doctor than the domestic helper?
