So we've found a helper who has finished her contract and we'd like to hire her directly. As the first step, she completed a health check with results due around 28th/29th June.
I called Immigration to confirm the rest of the procedure (had some idea from friends) and they recommended we first see her health results before going to the Philippines Consulate and then HK Immigration with the contract - my concern is if we do it this way, we will run out of time given her visa expires on 4th July.
Our potential helper suggested we could go to the Consulate this week to shave time off the process (i.e. get her visa extended ASAP, then go to immigration). This sounded fine until I realized it meant signing her contract before seeing her health results which we are reluctant to do for obvious reasons.
Does anyone have advice on how we could keep her in HK pass the 4th but be still able to see her health report before we sign?
Secondly does anyone know what the requirement is for airfare if we hire someone who is already in HK? Immigration said we need to purchase 'one air ticket' per contract but was vague as to whether this should be a one way or return given her situation.
Any constructive advice/thoughts on the issues would be MUCH MUCH appreciated!! Thanks in advance!
