Releasing present DH and hiring new DH

I would like to release my DH. I don't want her to serve the one month's notice as I don't trust her anymore - I will pay her the month and want her to leave the same day.

Can I apply to immigration for a new helper and have it processed whilst keeping on my existing helper? I work full time so need the new DH to start the same day that my existing DH goes.

Does anyone have experience of this?

I am going through this right now. Yes, you can apply. All the documents will be processed while your old DH is still working for you. The only two things to keep in mind are:

1. You might loose the levy paid to the Immi for your old DH. In my case I'll loose 2 month's levy(HK$800), because she'll be terminated 2 month's prior the due date to pay next levy.

2. The Immi will release the visa sticker to your new DH only AFTER you submit to them the termination letter given to the old DH. So, the visa will be ready, but the sticker itself will be given after you clear all the bills with your old DH.

At least, that's what my agent explained to me. It would be nice if the previouse poster, Littleguy, could confirm it ;-)

I will try to ask my wife if she remember what happen.

originally we plan to sack our helper on June 25 and the new helper will arrive June 26, but something happen so we sacked her on June 15.

We started the paper work on June 10 and we knew the exact date when the new helper will arrive before we terminated the old helper.

As for the levy you can transfer the remaining protion to the new contract. For my case we were able to transfer 3 months of levy to the new contract
