I know of a DH (Indonesian) who speaks Cantonese , Mandarin and English ....all equally well and enough to get by day to day as she previously had two contracted periods in Taiwan . She is also an excellent cook in Chinese and Indian dishes . The problem she faces is a small one . She does not live-in but wishes her contract employer to pay or subsidise her living out . She is presently contracted in HK . My e mail is rogermalouf@yahoo.com

I would note that an FDH may not legally live out.

I know of five FDHs who legally live out and and have done so for their past numerous contracts , the least of which has been 15 years in HK continuously .

Yes there is an exception to the rule but it is not applicable to new employers.

The only way for an FDH to live out legally is if the employer got an exemption from the requirement by Immigration. Immigration stopped granting these exemptions many years ago (2003 if memory serves) but if the employer still has this exemption it may be used.
