seek advice on terminating helper

You need to pay all monies she is entitled - one month's salary for immediate termination, her days off which she hasn't taken, air ticket back to her home town door to door, but most important is the long service payment which is dued.

Like Homely says I think she is due long service payment, check th Imm website to calculate it. Losing valuable things? have you ever asked her to look for these? I would be a bit concerned about valuables going 'walkabout'.

she forgets things I repeatedly tell her,always have a sour face in the house and make

family uncomfotable, never admits her falts ,breaking and losing valuble things, never apologies and never say thank you when I give her a bonus,etc.

I think if I can find a good one, I don't care to pay long service, but I still waiting a right one.


Last month salary = ($3580x 12/365) x working day (eg. whole month)

1 month notice = $3580 (last salary if want to break now)

balance of Annual Leave = ($3580x12/365) x balance AL (eg. 12 days, about $1412)

Long service = ($3580/5x4) x year (eg. 7 yrs, about $20048)

1 way ticket = $1000


you need to pay about 29.6K.
