Tips on getting fulltime help for baby

ORIGINAL POST

Hi

We have just moved to Hong Kong 3 days ago with a 5 month old baby. I'm really looking for some guidelines and tips on how to find a full time help, what I should look for and be careful of.

Are there any experienced moms here with the right questions to ask ?

Also, what is the usual fees of agencies and is that the rightway to get the help? Any recommended agencies.

Please do help with some answers so we start feeling a bit more settled.

Thanks a lot

1) Experienced helpers

2) Referral by previous employers to see whether the standard is up to yours

3) PM if you need agency but not posting here as advertisement.

Referral means you can directly contact the employer, personally or by phone to verify rather than reading the usually praising useless paper.

Most helpers listed on our site have reference letters from previous employers...
