I am urgently looking for an agency who can deal with a complicated case on my behalf. My sister will terminate her helper who I will then employ. We have valid reasons for the helper to be processed ASAP but understand she may have to go back to the Philippines whilst the paperwork is being prepared. Evelyn Reyes (Find a Foreign Employer Agency) has said she cant help. Any recommendations appreciated.

Hi
just my 2 cents
a terminated helper is treated very differently from a Dh who has finished the contract, terminated is treated as new contract by the immigration. hence at the outside 6 weeks.
unless valid grounds exist like employer expired / employer bank rupt / employer leaving for good. in these cases the immigration will speed up the process say visa available in 3 weeks.
my case the helper terminated her contract with her previous employer, in jan the philipines government cme out with some new training requirements which would take up to 8 weeks, i could not wait for this so i sent my helper to china, she worked with us for the 14 days that she is allowed tostay in hongkong after termination and within 5 days after she left for china her visa was approved, i sent the visa across to china and she started work the same day as the visa was issued.
i of course started the process about 2 weeks before she finished her previous contract and submitted with the application a very very urgent letter to immigration.
hope this helps
cheers

Hi rcedsouza or anyone else who can help with advice,
How long did it actually take then to get the visa? I submitted the forms on the 26th april for my new helper who is coming out from the philipines. I am in desperate need as have started work and want to know what I can do to speed up things. Appreciate any help.
Thanks.
