Just hired a new DH from overseas. What is the law as to her needing to get an ID card? Can't find anything on the Gov website. Thanks in advance.

If you have hired her through an agency, they should attend to all the relevant paper work/permits etc she needs.

She must get a Hong Kong ID as soon as possible.

THanks - can someone direct me to the relevant link/webpage? Can't believe there is nothing "official" out there. I have probably been looking at the wrong place.

once she entered HK using her foreign domestic helper's visa, she has 30 days to apply for a HKID card. check out http://www.gov.hk/en/residents/immigration/idcard/

Basically she should go to Immigration. Go early in the morning to minimize queuing.
