Hello to everyone, especially those that know who I am!!!
If a helper is available, say, beginning October because they have finished their contract, I understand that they have 2 weeks from this time to find another job. If I have interviewed someone already who I'd like to offer the job to, does this mean that the paperwork cannot be submitted to Immigration until they have officially been released from their current employer?
Also, how many times can a helper change their mind re: employers once the paperwork has been submitted?
Thank you!

Based on my experience so far - about any and every 5 minutes. General question, if you know someone still in the Phillipines and out of contract - how long does it take to process their papers before they can start work?

The Two weeks rule is not applicable to finished contract employees. Note that contracts ends a week or so before the work visa. So helper go down on or after the day the contract ends and use the remaining visa to look for new employers. We need to report to the Immigration on or before the last day we are permitted to remain in HK whether or not we found a new employer.
Yes, papers could not be processed until after she is released by her current employer OR has reached the end of the contract.
The last time I checked, both parties could changed their mind 2x before they face obstacle course/s but then again, it is, I believe a case to case basis.
