Hi, all
Our contract won't end until Nov. 1 but our helper is asking us to sign a new one now. She said that it is ok now to submit 8-12 weeks early. I checked on government's site but can't confirm this? Can anyone help?
We do plan to renew the contract though.

4 weeks to be precise. One of us were told to come back in two days time when he tried to renew it a month (31 days month) before.

Hi,
My soon-to-be helper is going to the consulate today to notarise our new contract.
Her current visa expires 4 Nov - I hope she doesn't get turned away because it's more than 4 weeks!!!!

We have renewed our helper's contract 2 weeks ago although her contract will be ending in November and was approved, therefore early renewal shouldn't be any problem as long as you have everything in order.

Hi, my helper managed to submit the contract to the Philippine Consulate for notarisation today, it'll be ready next Monday for collection then onwards to Immigration for processing of Visa.
Homely: I think for renewing with same employer you can do it up to 8 weeks before the visa expires , but in my case she is completing her contract and will be changing to a new employer (ie me) and therefore cannot be done less than a month / 4 weeks prior to visa expiry (or at least, that's my understanding from various googles)!!!

Guess you are correct. You seemed to be doing OK as the timing for collection of papers from the Consulate and then towards to Immigration will be within the 4 weeks' period.
OP can just go ahead with her renewal like us, not needing to do it within the 4 weeks' period.
