A court in Malaysia has found the employer of domestic helper Adelina Sau not guilty of murder.
The helper died of organ failure as a result of extreme malnutrition and exhibited multiple infected wounds at the time of death.
The Penang court was told that Ambika MA Shan, 61 had been abusing the women for months and forcing her to sleep outside with their dog.
Malaysia's attorney general office has assured Indonesia's government that it will appeal a recent court decision to acquit a Malaysian employer after her Indonesian domestic worker died from physical abuse in February 2018.
