I have a helper comming to me on Sunday for a few hours, while I look for a full time. What is the going rate per hour?

I have been paying $50.00 an hour for part time help. Some may be $60. but I have paid 50 for 3 different helpers over the past 2 years

Depends on what she'll be doing. General cleaning runs about $60ph, but if it was babysitting while you are in the house, for example, then a bit less. (I would charge more for cleaning people's oven/toilet than for playing with a baby - this is how I look at it.)

I asked what she wanted and she said $50 p/h. So thats waht I paid. If you think about it 50x8(hours)x26(working days,sunday is day off)=$10400 per month.

I highly recommend Merry Maids , speak to mandy

they send in local Chinese helpers who are excellent and have different packages

Plus they are legally allowed to do part time

Greenvalleys - not necessarily, the OP didn't ask for the rate for an FDH working outside his/her contract.


$50-60 per hours is about the rate we've paid for part-time legal helpers in the past (i.e. local or married to local/expat with the right to work in HK).
