Hi,
I have a maid who will begin working for me at the beginning of October - she is going back to Phili in a week to renew her visa.
In the meantime i really need help for 6 hours a day 6 days a week to look after my kitten etc.
Does anyone know where i can find such help? I will pay them a full time wage.
Thanks

Creature Comforts (Vets) says on its website it can provide a pet sitter for holidays, so a 6-hour day/6 day week might be doable. (I was thinking that a sitter from a vet will be more knowledgeable on furry friends.)

Call the Labour Dept - they have a register of people trained/available for household work. About $50-60ph I think.

i had my pt helper from labour dept before i got myself a full time helper. she is local and she is very good. and it's reasonable too, $50 per hour. if you dont want to hire someone illegal, labour dept will be your best choice.

Hi! lulu14, if you need a part time helper, I can refer a friend to you. She's a HK resident, so she can work for you legally. Her rate is $ 50-60/hr. By the way, where do you live? Cause she lives in Yuen Long. Also, re your helper to be, as I know, working visas are to be issued here in HK and not in her home country. She should be in her home country if she is hired while she is out of HK. Otherwise, if she has finished her contract here in HK, she can wait for her working visa here in HK, though she cannot start working for you till she got her visa and contract approved by the HK Immigration Department. Please check and sorry to be bossy. Don't want you to be added to the victims list.
