Move to Singapore

Hi, we are moving to Singapore later this year and would like bring our helper along for one month or so to help us in the transition. After that she would like to return to HK to work for an other employer. Anything we have to be concerned about from an immigration point of view here in HK or in SG?

We have just moved to Singapore and I have processed the papers myself instead of using an agency for our DH from HK to join us here.

It is not possible for your domestic helper to work for you here without a valid work permit - she would only be able to enter on a social visitor pass (tourist visa). See link below for details.

If anything goes wrong, she breaks the law, is injured or takes out a complaint against you as an employer while you are here in Singapore and says she is working for you illegally then the penalties are severe and often enforced. You or your husband would be looking at a large fine and jail time. Not worth the risk - what is she fell ill, had an accident?
