I'm about to hire a DH from Phils. I heard there is this new term regarding insurance for new Phil helpers.

Can someone pls provide more information - I've searched the Labor dept website - but no info avail.

Thanks

Hi Beancurd,

As you sound very informed on the subject, can I ask your advice? I'm trying to employment a Filipino "Finished Contract" DH (she finishes in mid-Feb), and I believe I can go directly to the Phil ConGen for Individual Processing of Contract Verification right?

I was wondering if my new DH must go to Consulate "Counter 17" herself for this, or Can I (employer) go instead, if I have all the required docs?

Also with the new helper insurance (I know it's not applicable in my case), but out of curiosity, should the contract be terminated early, is the insurance policy still effective for the next DH he/she employs, or is the policy attached to the original DH it was intended for?

Thanks in advance!
