If a helper has to leave HK after 2 months because they have transferred from another employer who pays? Does the helper assume that employer pays for ticket travel expenses etc?Is the final responsibility the employers to make sure she carries out her immigration requirements? HELP CONFUSED

The rule is that an employer pays for journey of DH from her home to his house at the beginning of the contract AND also for the journey of the DH from the house of employer back to her home at the end of the contract.
About immigration stuff I don't know exactly how it's done but I am sure the HK immigration dept will guide you.

how about if you get a helper that's finished her contract and then you employ her...do I need to pay for a round trip ticket or a one way back to the phillipines just when she's finished? this is confusing!

I think that the law is that when a DH finish her/his contract and even if they stay with their employer, they must leave HK and go back to their country of origin. The employer has to pay for this journey.
What happens in practice is totaly different thing. Some manage to fix it while staying here, some go to China or Macau.
It's like the whole living with employer thing. Quite a lot actually live in what is called 'boarding house', also many work temporary jobs as well as their actual contract.
I think the law is there more for protection where there is actual abuse of powers over the DH's and isurance protection for the DH's as well as the usuall bureaucracy.
"this is confusing!" - So true!

Not really confusion at all. If you are employing a DH who has finished a contract her previous employer would have to supply a ticket or money for her to get home. You side is you pay for her to get back here. That's pretty easy.
