I have a situation where as I have terminated my contract with my helper before she was actually able to begin the job. She was still awaiting an interview with immigration when terminated. Is anyone certain of my responsibility to her? I do not know what I owe her. Any firm ideas of the law? Thanks for your help.

You have to inform Immigration in writing (or fax) that your DH's application has to be cancelled. That is all! Your DH too has to do that same. You dont owe her anything.

Thank you for your response. She gave me the contract back. It had been given to immigration already. I will confirm thing on Tuesday.
