Hi, I am considering to hire a full time domestic helper but not a live-in, and am willing to pay for some rental subsidies. A friend of mine told me that it is illegal not to have the helper live in. Is that true?

Best look up the facts direct from the government website, but for extra clarification you could also do a search and read the many previous posts here on this subject (which will save the same people having to re-post answers they've already provided fairly recently).
