Taking helpers to Canada for a holiday ?

I would like to take my Indonesian domestic helper to Canada for a few weeks family holiday

I know if you go to America there are different rules you must employ whilst there - ie holidays and salary changes.

Do you know if this is the same in Canada - or if we are purely on holiday, is it discretionary to me?

OK we have also taken our last Philippino helper there and she was pretty much on holiday too and did very little so presuming that is how we got round that. How long were you there for? we have done 10 days in the past but going for over a month this time.
