Hi,
Does anyone know how much it costs to renew my helper's visa. I tried to look it up online and I read somewhere that it is $160. Is that correct? Is there anything she needs to bring other than her passport?

The contract, her HK ID and that's about that.

My helper went to the Philippines Consulate and they told her that we (the employer) had to go. So confused. I thought our helper could do it? She brought along her HKID, her passport and her contract.

You need four sets of the green contracts all signed and witnessed get them from the HK Immigration Dept.. A copy of your HKID and copies of the helper's stuff who is being renewed. She needs to pay an OWWA fee of $197. plus another 297.50 to get the contract authenicated. That will take one week.
Following that, you need to take the remaining contract to HK Immigration Dept.
Provide a copy of your HKID card, proof of address and proof of income.
You will get a date for an appointment to return to collect the visa and $160 will be payable at that time.
Good luck
