What needs to be done after helper visa approval?

Our domestic helper's visa just got approved. Being a first time employer, I am absolutely clueless what needs to be done after that. My helper is currently in the Phillipines. We have bought her an open ticket before she went back. My thoughts are:

1. Book the air ticket with an exact date.

2. Send her her visa through mail.

3. Purchase helper's insurance for her.

4. Arrange physical exam for her.

Please could anyone comment on the above? Also, could you veterans recommend any insurance companies and international mail fast delivery services as I am only familiar with Fedex. Thanks.

I believe her medical must include a PG test and a Hepatitis etc. You can get another exam when she arrives, but the bloodwork will show if she has any pre existing conditions that would preclude her from caring for your children or cooking food for your family.

Use DHL, they are the most reliable, and have offices all over.

(One in the Admiralty MTR) Can't speak specifically about an insurance provider, there are many to choose from!

Good luck
