My original post seems to have got lost somewhere in cyberspace. I did ask 'how temporary' and mentioned that the Labour Dept has a database of people who have registered with them for helper duties. Also that the noticeboards at the local supermarkets are often a good source. And publications like Dollarsavers often has ads placed by interested parties. With those last couple of suggestions you'd need to check the legal aspects.
