I would like to hire a Sri Lankan DH but have had no joy so far. Does anyone know of a good Sri lankan DH who has good references from previous employment in HK? I'd really appreciate your replies. Thanks.

I know a Sri Lankan woman who will recommend many Sri Lankans maids to you. Thats how I got my helper after interviewing many that she sent me.

I must warn you that S Lnkan helpers are not very good in English & they are not as professional & educated as the Philippino's. On the good side, they are extremely hard working & are very willing to learn. They are really good helpers to have, excellent with kids, really listen to their employers & after having both kinds, I ceratinly am most happy with my S Lankan helper...anyday!
Of course, every helper is different, but I would highly recommend a S Lankan girl. All the best.....

My S Lankan helper just told me that there is a S Lankan girl who need a job as of next month. She is supposed to be very experienced with kids, etc but personally I dont know her. I will try to get her number today & put it here for anyone interested in meeting/ interviewing her. I'll be back...:)

holy smokes, talking about education. Most of the filipino helpers I interviewd in the past say they have college graduate. Do you believe them? Their government is so corrupted, sometimes I really wonder if those qualifications are true or not. But have to agree with you that they are more professional in cleaning, cooking, looking after animals and child-minding than other nationalities. My previous sri lankan helper spoke quite good english though.

A lot of the philipino helpers are really graduates Mighty, although many could buy their certificates too, I'm sure.
My S Lankan helper english too is good, but after interviewing many, I realised that generally their english is not as fluent as PHIL. On the work front, I dont really think Philippinos are more professional, they are good but I believe the Sri Lankans can do as thorough a job as well.
As you can see, I highly recommend a S L helper.... :)

Ok..here is the number of the S Lankan girl who is looking for another contract. Her name is CHANDI & her number is 60814075. Once again, I dont know this girl at all, but am told she has 6 years experience with 1 employer itself in HKG.

Girty does not charge the employer, thats for sure. I am not aware if she charges the girls.
