Saga continues

To continue the saga (from "ridiculous" thread).. I thought I'd start a new thread. So, last night my DH told me that she would quit her job immediately if her boyfriend does not agree to push back the wedding date. This morning (after long phone conversation with boyfriend last night) she indicated she broke things off with him (because he won't wait) and wants to finish the contract now! So, in summary she went from dating, to called off status, to getting married status to "finished" status all in a matter of days. As she has only been with us for a few months this abrupt changing bit is rather disconcerting to me. Now she says she wishes to stay but I can't help but wonder if she will change her mind again. Or.. if shes just lying to me and planning on just dropping the ball later when her boyfriend arrives to get married. In addition, I can't help but question her loyalty at this time especially since she so matter of factly told me "I'll just quit immediately if he won't wait to marry". So, heres my question to all... after all this, should I keep her on or should I myself terminate her at this point?

Thanks to both of you for your much needed advice. I wish to clarify, however, if there are any benefits in terminating her within the 3 months probations period?

The probation period does not apply for those on a FDH contract.

The termination notice period is a standard one month unless it's a case of 'extreme behaviour' (my words - can't recall what the precise term used is) in which case it can be instant dismissal. And even for the standard one month period you can pay the helper out and ask him/her to leave immediately.
