DH i have to pay

my helper is almost 1 year in april but she is not good i manage but now i m tried to teach her if i tri her i have to pay her air fare ad wht else i have to pay her sister is working here to in hk and only her wrd i keep her now she is so .........pls help me

If you want to terminate your helper, you need to follow the law, which is listed in the above link.


If you hired her through an agency, you can ask the agency to help you with the termination.


You can also call the Immigration Dept for their advice too, or look in their website in either English or Chinese. http://www.immd.gov.hk/index.html


The basics you need to provide are:


1 Month Notice OR 1 Month Salary

Round Trip Airline ticket

100 HKD transport fee

Any salary or annual leave pay owed


You also need to send your termination letter to Immigration and give a copy to your helper.


Be sure to document everything, and have her sign for what she has received from you.

This is to inform you that NAME has worked for my family since 10 January 2006.


Her employment contract will be terminated on 30 March 2007 and she will be released on 30 March 2007 (then you pay her the one month salary) or 30 April (then she works out the last month).


The reason of termination is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
