My previous helper has made several loans. We have fired her for other reasons, but now we receive more and more letters from the finance. They ask for reimbursements of the loans.

What can I do? contact the consulate?

Who are the letters addressed to - you or the DH? If the DH just write on the envelope 'not at this address' and take to the post office (you should not open). If to you write back firmly telling them basically to leave you alone as its nothing to do with you. I'd make a photo copy (envelopes only) of all the letters to the DH & you comments.

But how is it possible for DH to get several loans? their income is not big.

Where are the letters from, a bank? many DH get loans from official companies who are in fact loans sharks who are exploiting them, however in my experience they do not chase by letter, more with threatening phone calls.

Just tell them your helper is gone and you don't want them to bother you. That's what I did, and everything stopped. I think one co. wanted me to fax a copy of the termination letter/immigration notification.

What you can do is to send a copy of termination letter of your DH. If they dont stop sending letter or calling your home phone number... you can report the bank to the police...This is effective...I myself have work as a collector in a loan shark and that was our procedure once we got copy of termintation letter we will stop sending letter to the that specific address and will delete the tel number on our record.
