Optometrist for helper

ORIGINAL POST

My DH thinks she needs glasses and has asked if we can pay for her to visit an optometrist. Our insurance doesn't cover this. I presume we pay for her appointment and vision test. Do we also pay for her glasses if she needs them?

Thank you.

I've had eyesight checks at a couple of places and I wasn't charged for them, not sure if that's the norm at most of them. One opticians in the Great Eagle Centre, Wanchai (can't remember the name of it though), and also at Optical 88 at 181 Johnston Road, Wanchai. On both occassions I didn't purchase any glasses, just had the eyesight test for free. No appointment was necessary, just walk in and get it done. Not sure if you would be responsible for the cost of your helpers glasses though if she needs them?

Thanks Sapphire.

Does anyone know if we are responsible for the cost of our helper's glasses?

I think if t were me, I would most likely pay for her glasses. Why not, if it helps her do her job better? :-)
