We have just arrived in Hong Kong. We are looking for a live out domestic helper - is this legal? We are prepared to pay for their accommodation and other usual requirements. We do have a helper room in our apartment but would prefer to keep our privacy if possible. We have pets (1 small dog, 1 cat and a hamster) and would ask that the helper lives in for them when we go away on holiday and for short breaks. We don't expect our helper to work at all at weekends apart from when we are not here for our animals. Can anyone help me find a helper who LOVES and cares about animals, would think about a live out option (although we will consider live in for the right person) and is reliable and trustworthy? Live out is not legal anymore if you are talking about full time domestic helper, though there are still a lot of people doing it.
