I wish to donate my son's toys/books/clothes to an orphanage or a childrens hospital. I tried doing a search for orphanages in HK but it leads me to adresses in China. If anyone has an address/number for HK please do let me know.

You might want to try Po Leung Kuk, main offfice is in Causeway Bay ~ they provide all kinds of services for women and children including an orphange for children who have not been placed in foster home or whose parents cannot care for but have not relinquished their rights :

I am going to be collecting donations for:

And my husband (who works in Beijing M-F) will be bringing them up to Beijing and dropping them off.

Thanks for the info. I will check out poleungkuk. Please let me know what kind of donations you are looking for. I have lots of woollens etc that I would like to go to someone who really needs them.

I have written an email to the orphanage to get an exact list of needs.


As of now, I only know they need clothing of all kinds for babies and toddlers and children.


Warm clothes and woollens would certainly be appropriate for Beijing winters!


Once I hear back from them I can post a more comprehensive list, and arrange a drop off point for donations.
