So today i went to pick up my visa. To my suprise i had only been issued with a training visa. My employer ensured it was enough but i have no clue what the differance is, thus, im a little bit worried. The position i will be working is only an ELTA as i have no deegree. On the immigration website it says once your training visa is finished you must return home to your country of origin. What id like to know is,once this job is finished can i just go to macau and come back to find more work straight away? Also, why have they issued me a training visa when i will be working, not training? Will the experience help me in the long run when i apply for tutorial centre work etc etc? Thanks

What do you mean by a training visa?

There are several types of visas.

Residence Permit for work (work visa)

Business visa (F visa)

Tourist visa (L visa)

Residence Permit for study (Student visa)

...

I guess your employer help you with a F visa, didn't he? How long is the visa valid? 6 months?

As i've already said...A TRAINING VISA. "Training Visa

An application for an entry permit to enter Hong Kong for a limited period (not more than 12 months) of training to acquire special skills and knowledge not available in the applicant's home country"

I think Beijingleeo didn't pick up on the fact that you are based in HK, as his response clearly talks about mainland visa-types.

No. Your sponsor had to guarantee in writing your repatriation to your home country. Going to Macau would mean (a) the sponsor broke its guarantee and (b) your re-entry would be as a visitor and you are not permitted to work.

"Also, why have they issued me a training visa when i will be working, not training?" Your sponsor would have for it. Ask him/her. Although having read your post, training/learning in the use of English is required.

"Will the experience help me in the long run when i apply for tutorial centre work etc etc?"

Possibly. Experience is generally more preferred than no experience.

A training visa is basically a restricted version of a work visa. The main differences are that the training visa can not be extended and that you can only get a training visa once. Also because your work is supposed to be an internship or for training purposes, it is much easier for employers to sponsor you, because they don't have to prove to the immigration department that your position can not be filled by a local.
