Childrens Clothes

ORIGINAL POST

Just wondering where I could get decent kids clothes for reasonable prices. I'm not interested in designer labels as my children are little and will either outgrow them or wear them out. In Australia I used to get great clothes at places like KMart or Target. Are there any department style stores like that over here. I'm sure there must be but I'm still new and haven't had much time to go exploring. It's hard too with two little ones in tow so any advice pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

How old are they?

Giordano and Bossini do good quality cotton basics - kids range start at 100cm. But Bossini has also recently brought out a baby range so worth checking out. Slighlty more expensive try Esprit, and Zara do clothes for the kids also. Oh and check out H&M.

Stanley market is great, Fa Yuen st in Mong Kok, Bossini sometimes has nice stuff, H&M do really nice boys stuff. Marks and spencers, although they're a bit expensive.

Stanley market!!! Take a walk through the lane on the right side and you'll be amazed what you can find for the price.

I was like you and sadly missed Target and Kmart (still do actually) for kids clothes but I don't think you'll be disappointed if you head out to Stanley!

Happy Shopping!

hkjazz, i am from australia as well but sadly i feel hk lacks dept stores like target, myer and Baby coles (oh yes love their comfy cotton pant)....

Other than Stanley market, you might want to try Marks and Spencer, which has a small but nice range of good-quality kiddies clothing; and Espirit Outlet on Hankov Road is worth a look. I found a small shop on Pottinger St (corner shop) sometimes selling gd Pumpkin Patch samples. Central Lee Yuen Street has couple of good shops too selling cut label stuffs

I agree , Stanley market is your best bet (and you'll even sometimes see Target branded clothes for next to nothing.) One outlet shop at the end near Dymmocks (opposite the shoe shop) can have some real bargins, but is a little hit a miss.

I also wait until Mothercare and similar have their end of year clearances and then stock up (alot like I did with target at home) - this year they had the summer stock at 50% off plus a further 20% off by the end of the season. These prices were running until Dec so you might pick up some bargains there - at Windsor House accross from IKEA in Causeway Bay.

That's true, in most cases you get what you pay for. Though my two little ones tend to stain their clothes more than anything else. So it's better to go cheap if I have to throw it out or turn in into play clothes.

sorry to repeat - I get ALL my kids clothes and most of the shoes in Stanley market. Lo Wu of course is a great place if you get out that way... Make sure you dont go into the main market in Stanley - at the entrance turn right (not left) and go through the lanes... not necesserily easy to spot.
