There are various spas and the prices and environments vary significantly. Alot of people like the Queen Spa which has a pick-up/drop off service from Lo Wu. I found the staff to be quite unfriendly and distant. I've been to several but prefer one that is very near the train station. I can't remember the name exactly - it's something like Xiaomeizei. I can tell you how to get there though. When coming out of the immigration building, turn left and go up the long escalator. At the top, it veers towards the right and leads you on an overpass across the railroad tracks. At the end of the overpass, immediately on your left is the spa. It might look a bit like a restaurant from the outside. They will give you a locker key and guide you to the dressing room. A massage costs $88 for two hours if you are a member and non-members are something like $108. They have a menu in english although it's a bit challenging to sort it out. If you don't mind sorting out language issues, it's a great place.

Carnival and Gold Coast are the best my wife and I have found. We also went to Pacific and liked it but found the first two to be even better, cleaner and just had an overall better experience at them.

About 5 floors including:

Cinema

Jecuzzi

Full Restaurant

Lounging area where you can spend hours with your own tv

Sleeping Zone

Recreation Rooms

etc etc etc

We took an Auzzie friend up one time who it took ages to get him up there to begin with. After his experience, he now goes up as often as possible and the last time he went up, he spent 3 days!!! You really forget about life while in these places!

I went to SLF Spa this weekend with my boyfriend and had a great time. Would recommend!

Once you cross the border on the "Fu Tian Kou An" (not the Lou Wu border), get out of the train station, you would be able to see the Spa place. Just ask around, everyone would know it too..

It is the newest and biggest spa in Shenzhen now with 5 floors. My boyfriend and I spent the day visiting Window of the World and decided to stay in Shenzhen for overnight. So, we went to SLK, did a 4 hours massage (they called 45 mins as 1 hour in that spa) so we could get free private massage room to stay over night after the massage. Or you can rent a luxurious room for RMB 688 per night.

Here's what we did and the cost so you can get a rough idea:

1. Had dinner in the Spa; order 4 dishes for 2 ppl, RMB 248

2. Get my pedicure & manicure; total RMB 126 and tip 60

1. 90 minutes Chinese style massage RMB 188 (free shower service for spending more than RMB 128 or 88 to use the shower); tip 100 each

2. 90 minutes Saipan oil mssage RMB 238; tip 60 each

3. Tip 20 on the shower room for the ladies who dried my hair and get my clothes and tower.

So, the total cost was RMB 1,600. It would have been less if we didn't tip 400 total for all the services. I know, we later realized we tipped too much....in any case, the massagers there were paid very low and a big chunk of their salary came from tips...
