Please advise if you know of any charity organizations that'll pick up free furniture pieces in very good condition ?
Thank you !

There was a thread on this earlier (not that long ago), you might want to try the search function if no one responds, though it does have some problems.

Crossroads at Tuen Mun close to the Gold Coast will collect. But it may depend on your location. They ship a lot of items all around the world. Sorry but I havnt got their number to hand just now.

I have often heard from people on this type of threads that Crossroads would collect. However, I have asked them on 2 different occassion to see if they would come collect some perfectly good furnitures. (On HK island) On both occassions, they politely told me they have no spare resources for large item pickup. I offered to make a cash donation along with the pickup, but they declined anyway.

I donated to Crossroads recently as well. The lady I spoke to said they could collect but it would be a wait of up to 2 months. Fortunately I was able to fit the items into the back of my car, so that wasn't an issue. Next year I am hoping to donate larger items like beds and wardrobes and if they can't collect I may hire a van / small truck to transport them items there. I will pay out of my own pocket and consider it all for a good cause.

Call the Community Advice Bureau on 2815 5444, they'll be able to give you some numbers. But Remar will insist on a minimum cash donation of HK$500 on top of your donation of furniture. Otherwise, St James has a waiting time of about 2 weeks.
