Hi, does anyone know where I can buy stroopwafels in Hong Kong?

My favorite...but I've not seen them here. Do Starbucks sell them (I'm a Pacifc Coffee fan, myself)? They do in Bangkok.

If you go to Staunton Street, between Old Bailey Street and Shelly Street, there is a European food shop on the north side of the street selling all kinds of nice European treats. Sadly I've never seen stroopwafels (I love them myself!), but they do carry Dutch salt drop. I've not been there in a long time, so who knows, you may get lucky and find stroopwafel. Ask the store if they will order it for you. This is the only store in all of Hong Kong I can imagine might carry this item.

Hello Dive Bum,
I found a Starbucks in Hong Kong (not all carries) that sells them, but they are still not the same at those I got from Europe. What about those in Bangkok, are they teh same? Thanks!

Hi Cucaracha,
I didn't know there was such a store in Hong Kong. I will definitely check out the Stauton Street shop.
Some people have suggested PrizeMart, but I have gone to check them out and they are carry only the butter waffels (not caramel waffels). I was hoping IKEA would have it, but they don't.
Thanks for the tip, I'll let you know.
Cheers!

The stroopwafels I've seen in Starbucks come in a small (yellow?) packet of two and they taste very similar to the Dutch ones I grew up on (the sort you'd by in a supermarket as opposed to fresh warm ones from the market). I assume they would use the same everwhere - I'm pretty sure I've had them in a Singapore Starbucks. So, I magine the HK ones you've seen are the same as those in BKK.

If you ever travel to Tokyo, it's quite easy to find them in supermarkets there (the ones that are located in train stations).
Where has the PrizeMart moved to? It used to be next to Melbourne Plaza in Central, but I tried finding it on the weekend, and it has closed!

I bought something similar at Oliver's in Prince's building this past weekend. The wafels are from Belgium- average taste and a bit expensive, but if you are really desperate for a fix....Prize Mart in the Lanes in Central does sell them (usually the mini ones), but they disappear for a time and then come back.

I have seen them a few times in the Italian shop/restaurant, (Tutti) at Cyberport. Don't think they are always in stock though.
