As far as I know they are European, unless they are sourcing the US beds to HK.

hmmm i saw the wiki chart. but they don't have the dimensions for asia? anyway, all i have to compare is the sizes in australia and here in asia. and i can tell that the queen is much smaller in both length and width here without having to take measurements. the difference is quite obvious. am dying to get a king size but bedrooms in HK are not very conducive to kings! sigh.

we have a queen size bed from Tequila Kola and the mattress from UK (And So To Bed) - fits perfectly - so has to be the same size then.

Most places in HK you can specify the size of bed you want. But you need to know the dimensions you want. Your best bet is to find out the dimensions of the mattress you want in Australia and then go to Ikea or Pricerite and look for the same sized mattress. Only after you do that can you say they don't have the right size mattress for you.

If money is no object, go to Simmons or some of the mattress shops in Times square.

Perhaps standards in various Asian countries are based on other countries.

Our original bed was a king from the USA. At the time of our last move, we got rid of it and bought (in HK) a Simmons king, which by American standards is a queen. Our American king sheets don't fully fit it properly, but in fact I am rather happy with the slightly smaller bed. And BTW, our Simmons is the most comfortable bed we have ever had.
