I want to hand wash my car but have no idea where to buy the supplies. I'm sure the answer is pretty obvious, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
Most large supermarkets carry some supplies. If not, department stores like Wing On, Jusco, etc have some too. It all depends on what brands/supplies you're looking for. You'll have to shop around because I find that HK has no one place that carries many selection under one roof.

Why go to supemarkets for a very limited suply. All car accessories shops stock a wide variety of cleaning stuff sponges, anti streak drying chamois, cleaning detergents, waxes, polish, polishing cloths/machines etc. For wax I prefer Autoglym wax followed by clear resin polish really good and now when the weather is cool it is best to do the wax and polish.
Only after I needed to change my car battery did I notice all the car battery shops in my old neighborhood. I am sure I have seen many car accessory shops but I haven't had to find one in the past. I'm happy to drive over to some place between North Point and Sheung Wan if there is a good selection.

Car accessory shoops are all over the place. I don't know HK Island very well but I'm sure there are many just look around or ask a cabbie. If not then go to the mecca of car accessories in Mong Kok near Macphearson stadium

There a a few accessory shops along Gloucester Road (where most of the car delaerships are), or around Happy Valley. There's quite a big one on Sing Woo Road.
Alternatively, most of the petrol stations around town have shops attached that sometimes carry a decent range of products.

B&Q do a good supply of car washing stuff.
