Shipping a cat to Australia

Does anyone have any experience in this. We are moving soon and want to take our moggie with us. Any idea of the time line?

I have shipped my cats already.


It takes about 6 months. There is a 1 month quarantine is sydney and I think it takes that long because of a 6 month home quarantine in HK.


Below was the timeline for my cat.


1-Jun rabies vaccination & microchip (assume annual vaccine already up todate)

1-Jul draw blood for rabies blood test


Wait for Results of tests (blood samples done in the UK)....


28-Nov health certificate & parasites treatment by vet

1-Dec depart Hong Kong

2-Dec arrive Sydney for the minimum 30 days quarantine

1-Jan release from quarantine station (actual date tbc by govt vet)


However, pls check with the professionals
