Can anyone recommend a good and honest garage where we can take our Jag for a service. We tried the Jaguar dealers but they said there were loads of problems with it - if we did what they suugested it would cost more than the car is worth to correct them all!
The car is 8 years old but has been driving perfectly well with no obvious faults, although we do need to replace one or two of the tires. The centre charged a fortune even for things like that.
Any recommendations on Hong Kong island?

Mr. Fookie Ng- 2565 6166 in Chai Wan. We have an old Benz and did not want to spend more than the car price itself- I liked his honesty on things I should vs shouldn't spend on.

Well, a lot of people recommend Tommy at Vin's Motors. He actually sells secondhand cars and then always helps those customers to fix problems with their car. He's a great guy.
I called him initially to ask for help to fix a car that I hadn't even bought off him and that was totally fine, so I'm sure he could help you.

Agreed. Tommy is great. I don't know how his prices compare but the service is top notch.

Fookie Motors as 788 says is very good. I have also used Lido Garage (Happy Valley) Tel: 2572 2160. Mr Bennett Lee who runs it is very good and very "expat friendly" and seems to be a little cheaper than Fookie.

Thanks guys for your suggestions :-) Sorry for the delay in replying, but had a family crisis to deal with. We almost bought a car from Vin's so know where they are but didn't know they did servicing too. We live very near Happy Valley so are interested in spurtio's suggestion of Lido Garage, especially if he speaks good English. Has anyone else heard of/tried them? Which road in HV are they on, as there are lots of garages in the backstreets?

3 Cheong Ming St. From Sing Woo Road turn up Cheong Ming Street, (it is the one after Starbucks as you come up Sing Woo Road, I think) and he's at the top on the left hand side.
