Anyone know where I can buy them in HK? Great supermarket and other similar stores used to sell them, but seems they've stopped or run out of stock. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!

Since fortune cookies are not really a Chinese thing (they were made popular by American Chinese) it is probably easiest to source them from the US.
For example: http://www.yelp.com/biz/lotus-fortune-cookies-san-francisco

Um, yeah, thanks - I know they are not Chinese........
but I have seen them on sale here in at least two supermarkets (at last until recently). If anyone has spotted them anywhere recently please let me know.

The China Club give out fortune cookies at the end of each meal. They are so much fun! Maybe worth giving them a call to see if they could either supply you with some or let you know who their supplier is.

Thanks bbr - good tip; I just called them, and they said they did stock them - but only a batch bought for Chinese New Year... and now sold out. Close, but no cigar! Thanks for the tip though. And to swimmers - might try China Club and see...

Just found them via general Google search - "Luckily, Garden Bakery sells them by the box for $40, or $110 for three boxes. You can find them on the G/F, 58 Castle Peak Road, Sham Shui Po and they also have a couple of branches in Yuen Long and Tai Po. Alternatively, contact them at 2720 1055 or visit www.garden.com.hk. The bakery is open from 10:00Am to 6:00PM Mondays to Saturdays and closed on Sundays and public holidays.". Called to confirm and above is correct.
