Hi. I've recently bought a car and been using it for my small business in Hong Kong. I admit that my sense of direction is poor and I'd need a good navigation system (otherwise I waste my time looking for places).
If you know any good model IN ENGLISH that you'd recommend, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

I find the free oogle maps on my iPhone pretty good for when going somewhere new but is not turn by turn and does require 3G for the maps despite build-in GPS (so iPod touch won't do). In the US and UK google has released free turn by turn for Android so may come to HK soon. May come to iPhone soon.
There is a Tom Tom HK iPhone app available for US$49. Works on iPod touch also. see http://www.uquery.com/apps/328197880-tomtom-hong-kong
Not sure if there is an Android version.
GPS does not seem to be a big thing in HK as it is in many other countries (buildings blocking the sats a common problem). I have seen devices at the Computer Centre Wan Chai but not Tom Tom. You could check out ordering a basic Tom Tom from abroad and down load the HK maps on line.
If you don't have an iPhone or iPod touch, then maybe consider getting one rather than a separate unit and you have added bonus of great toy. iPhone and iPod touch have built in GPS that are not dependent on 3G as the TomTom maps are all on the hard drive.
Let us know here what you find out and decide on.

I should have also noted also that the TomTom iPhone app seems to require a car kit which probably costs the same as the base entry model that has UK maps already loaded. It is the very last line of the blurb on the iTunes site.

Get an Android phone. Then the Google Maps has turn by turn navigation (with voice). All Free.
Google's business model will kill Tom Tom.

For iPhone/iPod touch, try this Ndrive app. Cheap as chips and seems to work OK. You will always have patchy GPS in Central and Kowloon, but i was using this today driving around and it was fine.

@ArtfulDodger, do you have Android Google turn by turn working in HK?

Cheap as chips I said, but also too good to be true... iTunes store has pulled the Ndrive app. Something dodgy there. What a gyp though. Buy something and then they delete the paid-for app. At least Amazon gave customers a refund when they deleted 1984. With iphone 4 going up the spout i guess Steve needs all the dosh he can get. I guess i will have to pony up and get the TomTom app.
